Anyone have experience at a shop that can add new TPMS sensor to ECU - local places won’t be able to they say. Dealer wants $140.

I would just call tire shops in the area see if they can and what the pricing is, I think many major shops or even smaller shops can do it now, then it depends on price

Discount Tire will do it. Not sure if they even check, but I went there recently and didn't ask for a receipt or look me up in their system, they just brought the scanner tool to my truck and did it... no questions asked.

My tire shop didn't know how to do it. They broke one of my sensors during last tire change and didn't tell me. I saw the new different valve stem and took it back to have it reset. The moron couldn't figure out the computer and I lost patience.

I have techstream, so I just went home and did it myself.

Pricing is they won’t do it and / or want to only do it if I buy $90 a piece sensors from their inventory

I wanted to have it done before a road trip tomorrow but looks like I’ll just deal with it until a tool comes in that I can do it with. This is insane. Lol

Just ask around local. I found a shop here in Burbank down the street and handled it in less than an hour. Aftermarket tpms sensors can be an issue with some machines is what the guy was saying when I had mine done, but IDK.

Guys I called almost every major tire shop around! Even a shop that mounted beadlocks for my first gen. At this rate it’ll be easier just to get a TPMS dongle or I’ll look into my CarDoc Bluetooth dongle to see if there’s an upgraded app I can pay for for just that and just be paying for the temporary upgrade. The light doesn’t bother me so much except that my wife may be learning how to drive a manual on it and I’d like to have it working for that reason.
