Wow there are hundreds of vehicles here that have the Super Swamper TSL on them, seeing as the owners live here. Never heard anything about this. Damn.

I saw this happen on a tire when it was curbed so hard it tore the rim, deflating tire... hammered rim back and inflated tire and there was a huge knot on side....

wow, this is some crazy shit! looks like its nothing to mess with either. i heard about the whole 6yr tire life thing a few months back in a Peterson's 4-wheel mag, but never thought about checking my tires(or knew how for that matter). looks like my cooper ST's on my taco were manufactured in the 3rd week of 2004. bought them in sept of 2005 if i remember right so that would make em over a year and a half old when i bought them. After inspecting them a little today, there are a few cracks in the rubber about an inch away from the bead, good thing theyre gonna be replaced soon. i bought some BFG mt's this spring to put on before winter and they were actually manufactured in 2006, 2 years old when i bought them..... oh well, i'll wear them out within 4 yrs anyways, lol.

this would happen all the time to the tires on the helicopters i worked on in Iraq. Goodyear made them. it was also 100-120 degrees most of the time during the day and they were filled to 150psi, i wonder if that had anything to do with it

PROCOMP AT TIRES THAT I HAVE ON MY TRUCK AT THIS TIME HAVE TWO LARGE BULGES IN THE SIDE WHICH LOOK LIKE THE CORDS ARE COMING APART. I TOOK THE TIRES TO 4WHEEL PARTS AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY LOOKED FINE BUT WOULD REPLACED THEM BUT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENTS. THEN I TOOK THE TIRES TO TWO OTHER SHOPS AND BOTH INFORMED ME THAT THE TIRES HAD SEPARATED CORDS AND WERE A DANGER. NOW I DO NOT EVEN HAVE 10000 MILES ON THESE TIRES AND THEY ARE COMING APART AND THE DEALER OWNER OF THESE TIRES WILL NOT DO A THING TO ASSIST ME BEFORE THEY BLOW. For some reason, those make sense to me. Imagine all the bashing you could do off road when you dont have to worry about "blowing a bead"?
