So I've heard that every inch you lift your truck you can add one inch to your tires is this true?.... I want my truck to look agressive with a 3 inch lift and big tires but I don't want there to be any rubbing..anyone have an answer?

There are other factors in addition to lift height and tire diameter such as wheel width and backspacing/offset, and tire width as well. These will affect not just if it rubs but also where it rubs.

Allignment will play a factor into rubbing as well as what @boostedka said.

    4" lift on 32.5×9
I want to get 32.5×12 and I have a 4" lift what do I need to do besides trimming a crap ton to get no tire rub. I want that size because I want -44 offset and a nice stance.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
No. And whatever that source, be very cautious of other advice from them as well.

Its very dependant on wheel fitment and tire size. More than lift.

For example, on your truck a 255 80 17 (33") will fit on OE wheels and suspension, no rubbing, cutting or chopping.
