Thanks for the heads up! My only concern would be towing given it’s 3500 dry. But I love that floor plan and price!

I’m currently shopping around for a good camper for the wife myself 2 dogs or possibly myself and a few hunting buddies. Have yall found anything that weighs in around 2500 to 3000 dry, has a bathroom, and sleeps 4? This is starting to make my head spin.

Not a lot out there with beds at that weight. Something to consider would be a Rpod with the tent dome. Might be chilly during hunting season tho.

I have spent the last few hours looking over the various models of rpods. Only to conclude that I need to go look at one. I’m off work Thursday so looks like I’ll be making a drive to check one out. Any model of rpod you suggest?

I really like the RP-180 since it has the largest dry bath. You won't find a walk around bed in this weight range tho. If you can go a bit higher in weight, the Forest River Wolf Pup is a crowd favorite. The 16-BHS weighs in around 3097# and is a bunkhouse. It will be tight but people really like the Wolf Pup brand.

The Rpod 190 (which has a big bathroom for an Rpod), the Jayco Jayflight 175rd, or the Coachmen Clipper 17rd might work for you.

Jayco 195RB has walk around queen and big bath. Problem with Jayco is they're 73" ceilings so even barefoot I hit any little thing that hangs below the actual roof line.

Have you thought about a pop up? There's some that might meet your needs.

A pop up is not out of the question. We would prefer a TT if we can find something that meets my towing and feature requirements. As of now the r-pod 176t is looking good.

You would save some weight and some of the new floor plans are great. But, I'm biased. I have a pop up and enjoy it. Storage and towing are a breeze. It does have some draw backs. But more positives in my book. Looking forward to seeing your camper..

Have you peeked over at popupportal.com? It's a large camper forum with a lot of people that love to help new folks out.

We had an RPOD (the large bathroom model) for a summer, it was perfect for 2 people, 3 was definitely too small. Now that we have a kiddo I would want a larger one for sure.

We are looking at the rpod 182g. We are currently tent glampers, 3 kids and a dog (two birds too). I don’t want to change over to living in a trailer or anything, just warmer/dryer sleeping accommodations with a toilet (3 women). I think outdoor kitchen and annex would meet or needs. Inside is for sleeping only.

    Maybe extend our camping seasons.

Forest River also makes a No Boundaries model that has a walk around bed. Not sure on the availability everywhere.

Using my 190 on the weekend. :D

I'm curious how it went? Just picked up a Hummingbird. Debating on using a Weight Distribution Hitch/Sway-control - did you? Thanks.

taco-1.jpg Yes we wish we had bought bigger. Bought a Winnie Drop 1710 as it was the biggest we could tow with the Wrangler. We wanted more space but tow vehicle limits prevented it.

A few weeks ago we traded the Jeep for a Taco. Last week we traded the Drop for a Micro Minnie which will be in our hands in a couple of weeks.
