I just dropped my 2016 Tacoma off on Thursday at the dealer for me to get that exact same issue fixed. They also told me to drive around without a phone paired to it and if it happens again they will replace the head unit. So basically they are giving me back my truck and not fixing the problem. Like I want to drive around without my phone disconnected to it,that's why I bought the stupid thing for the ease of use. It means no phone calls while driving which is bullshit. Im not too happy. I have the Apple six and I have to call bullshit on this, its obviously happening with all phones.

    Hey, you never know lol.

My AC doesnt work on my Camry when it rains.

Dont tell me the belt slips from it being wet, because it still does it when its in the dry garage and raining outside.

As long as it doest rain, AC works fine.

I have an iPhone 6 and it has happened with mine. We will see what the dealer may or may not do on Tuesday. I am sure they will just say, "It's a normal characteristic of the ..." The same thing they say about the chirping in my fuel pump.

This issue is 100% related to rain. I always pair up my phone and truck over Bluetooth. Never had a single issue with Entune rebooting until we just had heavy rain the last couple days. In a 20 minute commute the system rebooted 12 or so times. I was also plugged into the truck via USB. I unplugged it so that only Bluetooth was connected and the issue continued. I shut off the Bluetooth and just plugged into the truck and the issue continued. The issue has continued every commute since. It is still very humid and wet outside. Again, this issue never occurred until we got heavy rain the last two days, otherwise its been bone dry since I bought my truck and never an issue until now. Going to take my truck in soon for some other issues, hopefully they have a fix for this as well.

I'm in Sac as well, and from the time I left the house to go to Roseville, radio rebooted at least 5 times. When it rebooted, a service screen would pop up telling me that I needed to rotate my tires. Never happened before and this morning I didn't have any issues.

I drove from Sac to Lincoln yesterday, very heavy rainfall between 11-5. I haven't drove my truck since, but when I get home I'll take it out for a drive and see if its still being a little bitch. I hope that its something fixable, and that the dealership doesn't just blame it on the phone, or the usb cable, or black magic, or some other bullshit. from what others have said though, it sounds like a black magic and bullshit festival will begin once I get to the dealership.

Well I just got off the phone with the dealer and was told to pick up my Tacoma. They fixed a rattling sunroof because the factory stripped out one of the bolts in the sunroof so they had to re-drill and put a new bolt in. I am supposed to drive around with my truck without any phone paired to the vehicle to see if it crashes any further. That means no phone calls in the car and I have a road trip coming up so this will be great! I guess I'm stuck listening to XM satellite radio and no Pandora on my next road trip. I said it before… Technology is your best worst friend. Come on Toyota corporation where is the recall already this is bullshit! They know they have a problem there's no way they can not know about this with so many people complaining! Maybe I should've just dumped 10 grand into my 79 Chevy truck and put a six speed transmission in it and made it to where I can get 20 miles to the gallon. I'm honestly not feeling good at all about this new Tacoma! Fuck shit stack !!!

So if it does not reboot with no phone connected, are they going to say that is the fix? Now you can not use the features that it was designed for, what good is that? Ask the dealership manager if you can disconnect the radio in his vehicle and see how he reacts to that.

Galaxy S6 Edge here. Heavy rain today in Seattle and it rebooted about 3-4 times.

I'll try that change to HD data later today.

Currently on lunch break and it's raining here. Went out to grab food quick and the system has rebooted at least 8 times now. Hate this entune system. As a millennial and an engineer I enjoy tech stuff but I would consider this all old tech. None of the apps that require data from my phone to operate properly ever worked right. I have to disconnect and reconnect my phone several times to get them to work and now this.

I have a brand new galaxy s7 edge and it's ridiculous toyota would recommend disconnecting a phone during rain so entune doesn't restart.

I changed my settings to HD only, and that solved my problem. Last heavy rain I had absolutely no rebooting of the system and all worked great.

Thanks for the suggestion to change that setting.

I have had mine reboot on several occasions during dry weather.
But with this last rain storm mine rebooted 3 times during a 10 minute drive.
Using Samsung Galaxy S5 by the way.

Weird, I wondered if this was just a fluke or not. It hasn't happened lately but it did on the first heavy rain while driving to the grocery store a couple weeks ago. It restarted I believe 3 times but hasn't since, even with rain.

Has anyone heard anything more about possible fixes to this issue? It ONLY happens when it rains and my phone is ALWAYS connected. If it is a matter of removing the Entune app, I can do that, just wondering what I might be able to do to get past this issue.
