I'd do a little bit more research before making a statement such as this. Just because the majority of the Bernie supporters were millenials, this only accounts for 5% of the "generation". There are plenty of younger college graduates (myself included) that do not feel this way.

As was I, paid half for my school clothes starting in 6th grade, as I had a paper route in 5th grade, started working in local restaurant early in High School and joined the Military while a Junior in HS.

I agree it doesn't hurt but if it does hurt don't blame it on high college tuition or suggest all people get free college paid for by working people thru taxing them.

I don't think most Bernie supports just want other people to pay for their stuff. They believe in taxes being used to better society and not buy new bombs every year. I've paid for everything I have and still believe there should be some sort of tax funded college and health care... Man did we jack this thread or what?

Even if he lowered his rate 100bps to 1.79 he is still better off taking the $750 up front.

A lot of people are making my point in my previous post - the millennial generation is one of the most misunderstood/stereotyped generations out there. The majority of us value things like collaboration, continuous development and learning (ie work hard), and the opportunity to do meaningful or valuable work just as much or more than money, a pension, or vacation days.

Most millennials are very hard workers, you just don't see them protesting on the news. Instead, they're trying to continuously improve themselves professionally. One of the major problems is that corporations led by baby boomers and Gen-Xers don't want to adjust their corporate structures and cultures to be attractive to millennials. In other words - they're grumpy old men, telling millennials to change or get the hell out.

EDIT - not trying to get policital, it was just perfect timing for my presentation, haha.

Sell the truck. Get a cheap $2k runaround. Live at home for a while saving for a house downpayment. Wait for this overvalued housing market to pop soon then buy a house at a discount.

Dave Ramsey would disagree with. Makes zero sense to pay off a lower rate loan instead of a higher rate one.

Yeah. I agree with this statement. "Democratic Socialism" is still Socialism. I learned in history that the badasses in the US of A went to war to combat socialism from spreading. Socialism is the enemy to me and will always be seen that way.

4x12 with a 120amp head... ok so you're stubborn, with a road case into a WRX?

Are you sure you're gonna get a 4x12 cab in the back of a WRX with a head and probably at least 2 guitars in cases? Skeptical.

With that rig I'd be thinking Tundra...

For go fast, unless you go to the track and run the car, you're only driving on streets. Why the WANT for a sports car?? I never really understood that concept. Buy a race car to drive around the streets... looking for someone to race? or just looking cool?

Meh.... go to track and instead of "looking" like something actually learn to drive properly. Unless you're doing that, keep the pickup truck, its a lot more versatile and in the long run financially a smarter play.

Careful. Political discussions are against TW rules.

Friendly warning before the mods catch on.

Its a 50 watt head  It's a monster of a sound coming through the Greenback loaded Randall cabinet! No road case... yet. Can fit the head in the passenger seat if needed. Two guitars and a pedalboard with the halfstack. Pedalboard case fits all cables too. Somewhat minimalist. It'd work. Don't need a Tundra for that! The Tacoma suffices just fine and then some. I've fit a 4x12, an amp, 4 guitars and a PA in that short bed. Again the WRX is mainly for fun and a rewarding driving experience since I drive 22k miles a year and really enjoy driving.

I didn't suggest that so I'm not sure why you said it that way.

My 16th birthday present was my mother driving me around town applying for jobs. I started working the next day and haven't stopped since. Held as many as 3 jobs at one time during my college career. My father was a coal miner for 34 years. Work ethic was beaten into me from birth.

Only you can make that decision, it shouldn't really matter what any of us think. That being said, here is what I did...

I'm in my mid-30's now and just bought a fully loaded OR. I've wanted one since high school and probably should have bought one long ago, but like you I had a need for speed. I owned a current generation Evo a few years back and had nothing but major problems with it, not to mention maintenance on those is stupid expensive. I've also had numerous motorcycles, mostly in the sport bike category, to further satisfy my speed itch. Finally at 70K miles I got rid of the damn thing and traded it for a WRX limited hatchback. My wife had totaled her car, and at the time I had a company truck, so this was a way to get her back in something decent and me to have something to drive on the weekends. It's been a great car, I basically never worry about it, just doing the recommended maintenance. It is not fast though, comparatively speaking, so I'm not sure you're going to be happy with that aspect of it long term. Recently I changed jobs and lost my company vehicle, so that's why I bought the Taco. Like the Subaru, I don't expect to have many or any non-maintenance issues with it for a long time. If I were you, I'd keep the Tacoma and buy a motorcycle somewhere down the road. For $3-5K you can get something very decent and fast, and keep the versatility of your truck.
