Going to remove the boat rack and Viper security system. Unmolested otherwise.
Greetings Tacoma enthusiasts! Landed a quality survivor from the peach state, not coastal. Made out like a bandit, but I have done my time. Could chalk this one up to my karma coming out of its coma? Friend of my mother, fairly certain it being my means for climbing access sent this truck to my possession. Former owner loved this truck as it did come with tears and an embrace. All while a new 4door TRD sat and watched, scratching its priced too high to be off-road head. All joking aside, very lovely woman got 20 years of solid reliability from this beautiful truck. Taking great care of it along the way, though it was used as it was intended to be. She was gracious enough to pass it along to me and my intentions for this truck are pure. My son turns 15 in a month, this truck takes some of the burden off our newer vehicles allowing better maintenance and repair on them, as my gas sipping Mazda with airbags galore and no blind spots make perfect sense as a first car for my boy.
This pyt will provide me with a sense of pride in ownership that I haven't felt in years, not to mention the access to all the beautiful places I climb and play outdoors. Suppose you were only playing along to get to this part...
1997 LX V6 4wd 5spd Extended cab, stock everything. 211000 miles, all documented routine maintenance. 20 years of caring use is evident but it's all relative given the quality of the product. Starts quick, drives tight, stops really well and looks good doing it. Nothing is broken or ripped or stripped. Yeah she is missing a mud flap...
KIMG0006.jpg KIMG0009.jpg KIMG0010.jpgMore pics to come. I took these to send to the previous owner after the bath. At 40 years old this is my first joining of a forum, posting to a forum or any of this phone or computer stuff. Yes I have used computers as a tool, but don't have the facing book, or snapchat or any of those things that take up hours of lives that we will never get back. So I will provide my apologies in advance for any less than tech savvy or etiquette miscues. Joined a Tacoma lovers forum for that reason, to love on Tacomas, share and acquire knowledge on Tacomas and meet others who want to do the same. Merry Christmas folks.

Excellent find! I like that color!

You've come to the right place for all your repair, modding, and Tacoma-based social needs. And if in the unlikely event you run into any issues that haven't been addressed before, there are plenty of good, knowledgeable, and friendly folks on this forum that are more than happy to help you out. The beautiful thing about Tacomas is that they'll take care of you for far longer than you'd expect.

    Welcome to Tacoma World!

I swear its always the front driver mudflap that goes missing. Mine was missing when I bought the truck as well.

Welcome to TW and Merry Christmas! Fantastic looking truck, should keep chugging for quite some time.

Thank you everyone for the compliments and the warm welcome. That low geared skinny little truck puts a smile on my face. I couldn't replace the tires and super charger on a new one for what I paid for it.
