    Drank up some black powder

Biked about 5 miles, up and down hills.

Then came back and did a ton of reps for chest, biceps, triceps, and shoulders.

Then did a couple thousand crunches. haha

I have trouble with a lot of the olympic style moves like that. I need to do the exact same thing. Deadlifts and Sumo Deadlifts will get me everytime, sometimes I cut the weight in half and concentrate 100% on proper form and still have a sore back for 4-5 days. Lately i've just been subbing something else for DL's and I need to stop.

One of my best buddies from work is a Crossfitter and he loves it.......Guy is FIT too!I have dabbled with it but just haven't completely bought in.I love watching the workouts and they do look Killer.

I have had great results with P90X and if you can get by the flashy infomercials and the product hawking, there is some great, solid fitness taught.Simple, basic exercises, fairly high intensity with a structure that I respond well to.....I love knowing exactly what I have to do today.

Today three of us were doing Yoga X in the Firehouse but were interrupted by a run coming in.We were gone for over an hour by the time we got back to the House so we didn't get to finish.

Nice, I'm in my second week of crossfit and I love it. It is intense. Way better than any workout I ever had with football. Yesterday I had a fundamental class, but been working out with them through some hard ones, so they had me only, in their words, ONLY do Karen (throw the 16# medicine ball from a full squat to 10 ft high on the wall 150 times). My whole flippin body hurts like all hell.

Rest day at crossfit today, I will be doing super sets of back and bi anyway though.

    100 push-up warm up

    4x10 Outside curls
    4x12 Weighted pull downs

    4x10 Inside curls
    4x12 Mid rows

    4x10 Isolated hammer curls
4 rounds max pull-ups to finish it off.

My bi's are getting huge with this! :)

Hell yea!!!! I am quite a fan of Crossfit! Right now I'm working on transitioning my Platoon's PT plan to a crossfit style. P90x is just the commercialized and dumb downed version of crossfit....it's sad really

It may be commercialized, dumbed down and sad but has provided results for thousands and thousands of people. For me,after working out for about 24 years,it was a new and fresh approach to exercise that I really needed. At this stage in my life,I love being able to work out at home with a minimum of equipment. It also allows itself to be structured according to what results each individual wants.....As a matter of fact,Crossfit,(which I respect a great deal) is another example of basic exercise presented in someones interrpretation.

What's really sad is when you have to criticize other peoples routines to justify your own.
