    Question one and all.
After a bit of research I have discovered the tongue weight on my 2017 Tacoma is about 640lbs. I have a steel carrier and cruiser bike with a combined weight of about 700lbs. Without stating the obvious I am over weight on the "max tongue weight". So with that in mind what happens when over weight? Rear suspension issues, weld breaks, etc? Any suggestions or recommendations.
    Thanks,

I think I would put it in the bed or get a small trailer. Why take a chance of doing damage to your truck. Just a thought.

Put it in the box where it belongs. You will end up sqauting the back of the truck which will weaken the leaf springs. The weight on the front tires will be less causing stability and braking issues.
