Maybe I should start a new thread? Is there anyone who would mind verifying these rattles?
Is anyone else concerned that Toyota may not be willing to fix their truck?

I want to repeat, Toyota Corporate said this happens in every 3rd gen and they will not fix it.

Just talked to Toyota hq and they said this is a known issue on all 3rd gen Tacoma’s and there is no fix.

Guys, I could really use the help of the community here. I've tried another tacoma and it's not making the rattle. Can someone play "Bad Guy" by Billie Elish and let me know how bad the rattle is from the drivers side latch?
This song really makes it rattle.

I'm starting to doubt that "every tacoma" does this, like Toyota is claiming. If just one person can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

It does. My rattle isn't always there. It's sporadic, comes and goes. Definitely the biggest flaw of the truck

Mine is definitely there all the time. Is there nothing we can do about it? I’m really really disappointed.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
...^^^... The top pic looks like the head was bitten off.

About 10 years ago, I saw a big hawk attacking 3 ft. fat copperhead in the middle of the street close to my house. As I drove up on the fight, the Hawk screamed and flew to the side of the road and watched me as I passed.

The hawk continued to scream until I was gone.

I couldn't tell if it was warning me about the snake or warning me that it wanted the snake for dinner ?

About an hour later, I drove down the same road and the snake was dead in the same spot and was headless and looked like that above pic.

I used to live on a small lake and always needed a flashlight in the back yard at night ... big snapping turtles and snakes would be by the lake on warm nights

That stuff really creeps me out too.

PS ... I have the same door rattle in my 2019 RAV4 ... driver's doors and makes me crazy trying to find it.

I was able to get most the rattles taken care of with some felt, lots of felt. Once I took the door panel off I discovered after taking it into the dealership 5 times, they didn't any felt beyond the door panel itself. All the rattles are coming from the metal and wires in the door itself. Focus on the window regulator bits and that should get it taken care of. Took me about 2 hours, less time than I spent wasting time at the dealer.
This is my 5th Toyota, but probably my last after this experience.

Ask one of the service managers to go for a ride and/or sit in the truck to hear it for themselves

Only thing that can be annoying making a clacking sound is the seat belt buckle on the pillar if not buckled.

My driver’s window switch rattled, took ‘em a couple times to fully fix it. After 10k or so their felt fell out and now it rattles again smh

Try this. Picked it up at Lowe’s and had worked wonders. 7D9914E4-24AA-4130-8D17-49B9F373A3F8.jpg

Just wanted to provide an update. I took off the door panel and put a bunch of felt in the window regular connections. I had at least 6 Toyota techs look at it and said they couldn’t fix it but only took me about an hour. The window attaches at two points and you need the felt the crap out of both. After, there are still some rattles but it makes it tolerable.
