Too much stress on shock bushing?

Is this too much compression on my rear shock bushing?

shock is Icon 2.0 w/ resi

 

no.

it's rubber it's supposed to be the cushion between those components, so you will see it compress and uncompress with the suspension.

I think you overtightened it a little

I tighten until the bushings starts to compress, then about 4 full turns more and call it good.

Ya a little to much lol. I think the FSM says 15 ft/lbs. they really dont need to be very tight.

 

i will loosen it then and re-torque it..

 

You can't use those torque values cause the new nut is a lock nut. I just kept tightening till it stopped...and that's what it looked like.
