    The best.

I'm only going with sliders for now.

    Anything else would be overkill.

Eventually when the rear bumper is beat to hell beyond all recognition I'll get new one... then work on a front bumper.

I want to keep this thing stock (in terms of suspension and motor). It runs too perfectly to mess with.

Banged it out with a 2x4 and hammer, then touched it up with touch up paint.

    The door closes perfectly again.

    Thanks for the PG interpretation

Yeah, not too sure how I'm going to finish the sliders once I get them. Was thinking paint, that way I can touch them up easily and have them looking pretty nice when I'm guaranteed to bash the sh*t out of them

Still in the process.of saving up and getting them

The beginning of summer is my deadline as I want them on before the wheeling season.

As of now I'm stoked on Elite's hybrid but to cut down on cost I might go local... there's a place in Greeley, CO called Addicted Off Road that has a decent reputation.

Their sliders are $219 and wouldn't involve shipping

I was going to get 4xI sliders...but I like those a lot. They come fully welded/assembled, right?

I liked the 4x sliders because of the price. But you have to weld the legs/gusset plates yourself. I can weld, but would rather just get them and weld them onto the truck.

And $60 shipping is really reasonable.

And its on Greeley, CO? Isn't that the town South Park makes fun of?

Yeah, I'll probably go with 4xI or Elite and just spend the extra $80 or so.

My best friend is a professional welder so I'd have him to do the work of getting them on.

I never saw South Park, but everyone makes fun of Greeley

The place literally is a shit hole (the town itself is in a geographical bowl... and all there is up there is hog and cattle farming, Cowboys and Shane Carwin...)

I wouldn't go with bolt-on. If you do any amount of wheeling, they will get messed up and the bolts will loosen.

Plus, if you ever need to put a jack under the sliders... weld-on is pretty much the only way to go.

Just my .02, and a lot of other peoples as well. You might as well get nerf bars if you want bolt-on sliders, cuz you shouldn't be doing any serious wheeling with those.

    FWIW

My best friend who is a welder says that a bolt on will be stronger in the long run. He explained that it would disperse the energy from hitting a rock better than weld-ons, as well as all welds, no matter your skill level, will eventually get tiny cracks over time.

And before he gets blasted for his welding skills, he did all the interior ornamental welding for Mike Shannahan's place in Denver.

X2. Sliders are a savior. I don't wheel hard at all. 95% of my offroading is on forest trails but I justified it by telling myself it would pay for itself if it prevented damage just once. I've only had them for 2 months. Last week was on my way to the trail and admittedly took a curve a little fast for the conditions. There was a bunch of snow and it was slick as shit. The Tacoma slid and I saw a boulder coming up fast. I was able to get the truck turned sideways at the last minute, puckered up and hoped the sliders hit the boulder. Sure enough they did and it was a decent impact. Took a scrape on the slider to bare metal and couldn't have been happier:

That's what he told me he would do if/when I gave him my sliders to mount.

    Look at build!
just be sure to get the kickouts, they have saved my bedside more than the slider itself has saved me from "sliding"
