What brand are they? What size are you looking for? This is what I have, I think it was right at $225.00?

Yeah, UWS is the way to go. Very good boxes and one of the few that actually fit 2nd gen tacomas. Only prob is the nearest dealer to me is in Bakersfield:confused::eek:

Hey Kilo, does the black paint come off very easily? The UWS dealer told me not to get black cause it chips easy.

Yours is super nice greenbean, just had a hard time finding one around me. Tacomaman, I had ordered that same size you have only in black, but took to much of the bed. I guess it just depends on how much cash you have and what you need it for. I just need room for a small tool bag, sleeping bag, and a rifle, it's always good to have a clean pair of underwear in there as well, so i'm covered with my box.

Just got mine a few weeks ago and so far so good. I did have a weatherguard that was black and it never chipped in the 5 years I had it. Now it did get scrached up, but I use my truck, some members here don't, but it shouldn't just fade, crack or chip at all.

your box is cool. i just like low profile a little better, and as far as the bigger size, where i live(in a condo for now:rolleyes:) isnt really all that big, so i needed a place to put alot of my tools.....and other stuff that tends to get oily/greasy......it made the wifey happy with that stuff not being in the house causing alot of clutter. the only thing i may have done different is the way i mounted it(large self tappers...not that bad,but could be better) and maybe i would have got black instead.

I like the UWS most. The ability to slide plywood underneath the box is what draws me.

I wouldn't want the glare from a silver box. I don't care if it chips easy, I'd still have a black box.

I am having a heck of a time finding black truck box in Western KY. Silver all day long but no to the black for a Tacoma. Full size truck? No problem, Tractor Supply has oodles of the black ones for full size trucks.. I have a (sweet by the way) black truck and thus want the black box.

Also, since it would be my first tool box install, how do you do it? I know on a bed with rails you can use clamps but not in this scenario, suggestions?
