    What's your go to tool brand? I have to say I'm a Snap-On and Williams kind of guy. Although for some basic tools, the Habor Freight special seems to serve my needs.

    Craftsman mostly 100%. We have a northern tool just right up the road so If I need something that I know is going to break, but cheap. I will go there.

    Yea. I just can't justify snap on or mac when craftsman is just as nice in my opinion. Or were you talking about Norther boxes?

    Oh I'm just talking about general tools and garage appliances. My hand tools (sockets, ratchets, etc.) consist of snap-on's mostly. Many of them have been handed down from my grandfather. I have a ratchet that is from 1951 and still works great to this day. Craftsman is an excellent brand that I would trust if I needed a resonably priced tool.

    That's pretty cool. I would like to see some of the early 20's or 30's snap on tools.

    It honestly depends what I am doing, I have Snap On, Craftsman, and even some Harbor Freight Air Tools from about 20 or 25 years ago that are of decent quality.

    All my main hand tools and precision tools like torque wrenches are made in the USA Craftsman. I will pay more for tools guaranteed forever made in the USA. Being able to walk in to Sears and swap a broken tool on the spot with no paperwork is awesome. Unfortunately Sears is definitely going downhill, one can only hope they spin off their tool brand.

    That said I have a handful of HF specialty tools that I may not use very often, such as mega breaker bars, pulley pullers, ect.

    I just started working at a car audio shop again and most of the craftsman tools I have don't cut it. Started building my snap on collection, it definitely hurts the pocket book!

    I have to say Sears/Craftsman warranties are amazing. I had a Craftsman water hose burst on me awhile back. The hose was twelve years old and Sears replaced it under warranty.
