    Hi all,

I've been reading for an hour or so on how to get the torque pro app to show transmission fluid temperature. I have tried the 21D9 with no luck. Now I'm wondering if the truck is even capable of showing the temp at all. 1997 DLX, 2.7L, extended cab, 4x4, auto tranny, manual locking hubs w/ the old analog display (1997 was the year they switched a lot of things to electric, i.e. mine still has the physical spedo cable). I've seen a lot of post for 2000-2004 tacos, but none 99 and under. Anyone have any luck with trucks that are this old?

I don't believe you can do it, even on the newer 1st gens. I got it going with my '17 4Runner, but I think it's something to do with an older version of the OBDII or something like that.

If you have a link you found for the 2001-2004, I'd love to see it!
