    OK
so we can confirm that when the converter locks directly to your engine , you get shaking.
Im going to recommend spark plugs to start . This will eliminate the possibilty you are feeling a rough running engine at low rpm .
A rough running engine can be seen very easy with a lab scope .

Do the 6 Denso spark plugs first and a throttle body cleaning with your battery post removed then test drive when the truck is warm .
Then go after Toyota for damaging the SLU circuit in your valve body for not performing a transmission service correctly .
Dont care where you take the truck for a transmission service but you DO NOT FLUSH without removing the pan first

If you do indeed have a converter shudder , replacing all the fluid and adding 10 ounces of Lubeguard platinum is your best chance at adressing the issue .

Ok, did the tune up, maf, tb, plugs, air filter, and oil while I was at it. My idling is smoother, that’s noticeable. Hard to say if the shuddering got better as it seems to come and go. If I had to guess with my current information, I would say the shudder lessened.

I still plan on doing a drain and fill, it’s time. If it’s only a drain and fill should I not add the lubeguard platinum? I know it’s better on a full fluid change, but I already have the lubeguard and I have to be in there anyway. Other than shuddering, I might get a couple hard shifts every now and then, but it’s certainly not normal for me. I would prob be ok with just the drain and fill, but if then LG platinum wouldn’t hurt anything I don’t mind trying it.

    thanks again

Considering your the transmission expert around here, I tried the break tap test on my truck with the same issues and it was still shaking after pressing the break, what would that be indicative of? Thank you in advance.

I’ve since got rid of it, but I had the shimmy from basically 40k-150k, no real change and that includes plowing and towing from 80k on. I drove around in 4th a lot rather than D, unless I was on the highway.

Thanks for the update. W/O seeing this thread have done all you mentioned shy of adding the additive in and reduced but jas. It yet (Sub 500miles) eliminated it completely. Id say its 80% reduced, so far. Did yours eventually sort out or did you follow the advice as outlined w drain fill and additive?

I added the additives, with no real change, but it never got worse
