    Because some people feel the need to be argumentative, regardless of anyone's else's opinion. I'm just annoyed that everyone kept arguing with the idiot despite several mods warnings. Sigh.

    Anyhoo, staring at the big and little box with a TRD on both...hoping to add a couple boxes with URD to the pile soon.

    This. Im hesitant to trust TRD and Toyota in general after the 1st gen S/C caused more pinging than christmas bells. Its insurance and cheap at that :notsure:

    All that crazy talk about testing AFR's before making any changes is just silly. Most stock engines would opperate just fine right up until you are approaching red line. If your AFR's are dipping there, goodnight! If you ask anyone who knows what they are talking about, they make sure AFR's are going to be too rich and lean it out as needed not vice versa.

    Sometimes ppl just have opinions and are too thick headed to let them go. Ive been there before so can't judge too harshly :eek:

    Sky's the limit. I have this waiting to be installed. Handles all fuel types and filters down to 5 microns. Cheaper than most "performance" filters as well as lower micron filtration with multi-fuel compatibility. Other brands usually have different filters for different fuels. Just depends on how much modding you are up to. ;)

    does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
    Exactly like that. How about having one block machines that the spin on filter fits on one side, and the aftermarket pump on the other side made specifically to fit the Tacoma? I would imagine anyone with a supercharger, or anyone that wants to be able to change their filter would be interested. Maybe a TORSP line of performance enhancing products?

    Once I get a little more OT, hoping to walk away with AEM AFR and boost gauges, URD stealth 2.85 pulley, fuel pump upgrade kit, AFE stage II CAI and probably a TRD cat back exhaust.

    I haven't researched hard into it, but I thought I read somewhere that DT headers won't fit with Total Chaos coil bucket gussets?

    I have created other parts.....intake manifold spacer, and shallow oil pan spacer......but they are not mine.....

    I could do a oil cooler kit, but I like high quality parts, and that creates a high price. Most people don't have gauges so they have no worries....lol. ;)

    It would be hard to create a pump kit which replaces the OEM pump, that is overall easier and better than the ones on the market. Won't say that it hasn't gotten me thinking though. ;)


    If I may, check out the Tanabe USA gauges. They make the wiring a breeze, as once you get one gauge wired in, you only have to jumper over to the next gauge. Not rewire a whole new gauge. I have their Oil Pressure gauge. Tempted to swap out the other gauges now because of that feature and to have them all uniform. Those other mods should get you around the ~315 whp + or - level. :thumbsup:

    I remember hearing something about the headers a while back. Can't remember whose build it was in though, unfortunately. Post a thread in the suspension section if there isn't one. Also, due to design differences, it makes me wonder of that is the same with the URD Spec-U headers? RC Freak might know. He's had those headers the longest I believe.

    It seems to be pretty hit and miss. I know URD posted that the Spec-U headers don't fit with them either, but there are a few guys running them fine. May come down to how bent your buckets were before you installed or even just Toyota tolerances when building the trucks in the factory as well as where the gussets ended up when they were welded on.

    Here's another question...I often see people selling the DTLT's, usually to get the shorties. I thought it had something to do with smog?

    Yeah. The LT's don't have cats so you will fail smog if they are measuring your exhaust. If they are just checking for a CEL or something, you can get away with just running the O2 sims.
