    It makes me feel quite happy and excited. One, to see it come to fruition properly. Two, to see it making the gains which I was told about, by the people at BC. It give me great hope for my engine.

    I do not remember which exact compression ratio Gadget is running, but I want to say it is either 9 or 9.5:1. Mine is a 9:1. Either way, it give me a lot of hope for my engine. Mine should do even better, as I have some aggressive cams.

    Being that it made 540 whp, on such a small amount of boost, is the most promising factor. I am really curious to see what what does when he adds the 75mm pulley

    The really cool thing is that it is making over 300 wtq at the very beginning of the pull, which is 2250 rpms!

    I noticed that as well! It broke 400 ft/lbs of torque at 3700 rpm and kept climbing up until 4750 RPM! It didn't lose much either from there on to the 7000 rpm mark!

    I'd be happy with that setup right there in the dunes! Redlining at 6K might be nice as well; I just wonder how that whole setup with affect the longevity and reliability of the motor.

    I've got the DTLT headers with the TC coil bucket gussets and they fit fine. The only ones that don't fit are the Spec U URDs because you can see one of the tubes flair out more than others which interferes with the gussets

    Yea, I think it was the DTST headers that had the issue with the TC gussets. DT LT headers would be out for me anyhoo as I'd like to stay within smog as much as possible. If I have to change out an intake that's not so bad, but I don't wanna pull headers every year lol

    That motor is a torque monster. It would be fun in the desert. My setup gets really hot in sandy washes. Dirt I think is way more abusive on boosted applications.


    Mark when is that larger turbo going in?
    Do it. I need to listen to someone complain about stocking out. Long tubes are nice when I ran them in a gutless 4 banger from running short tubes before. Probably even better for a v6. When your smog? I need to stock out next October.

    If anyone has a lot of work to do to pass smog, it is this guy^^^. I'd do the same, as it is worth it to me. :) It's a labor of love. ;)

    The larger turbo will be reinstalled once this engine gets the crank re-polished, and them reassembled. As of this weekend, everything looks even better than I had been expecting.

    Ugh, quit it lol. Both of you. Yea I go back and forth on it, I guess if I kept all the stock stuff IE headers all the way back to the muffler, then I could just do a straight swap. That does sound some what easier to do myself on a weekend before I go smog...so headers, y pipe and muffler change out ...

    He is the first person that I personally know, you is running that high an rpm, on the stock oil pump. If it continues to do well, we will have new data and tested/proven performance of the pump's capability. The parts themselves can handle the stress.

    I was also really impressed with how flat the torque curve stayed. Very strong and great flow. The horsepower curve is synonymous with centrifical superchargers. Continually climbs. It sure didn't want to stop climbing either! I cannot wait to see how it does when he swaps it out for one of the smaller pulleys that they carry. His truck is already around 600 BHP. Be even better when the wheels are there!

    Yes it is! Considering my fault for the no oil circulation, all of the cylinders on this bank look beautiful. Cross hatch and all. Heads look great, and deck is as smooth as glass.

    Unlike the other sleeved engine, Goldylocks, which had an unevenly machined deck. I must apologize, as I had believed that Darton East had done the deck on that engine and that was inaccurate. APR had "done" that. Either way, that engine, and rotating assembly are all out a Kozmic Motorsports, to head to their machinist. It will be all corrected soon enough.

    No, that was the work done for Gadget, when it was his engine. Then DoubllD purchased it from him. Had continual problems, because of that. Then I purchased it from DoubllD. It is nostalgic for me, since it is the first sleeved 1GR, made from my block which was sacrificed for the cause. That is what I bought this engine.
