    Got a pretty trick valve spring removal tool in yesterday. Man is it easy to take them apart. Only used it twice yesterday, just for testing purposes, and I already love it!

    It is called the Valve Master. I ordered the one for the 2AZ-FE. Here is the video link.

    Oh yeah. I remember. I just packaged up the heads and never inspected them until recently. Almost there though. Almost there!

    Between my new torque wrench and the Valve Master, I am amply prepaired to assemble Goldylocks. That Snap-On digital torque wrench is stunning!

    The pistons with the stress fractures, are CP pistons. They were originally from my built engine. Built by LC Engineering. Which is now the stroker engine. They were not able to be used for the stroker build, so I sold them to DoubllD.

    For a little over $100 you can pick up a small propane salamander to heat a shop up. I've got one, and in 10 minutes or so the garage is toasty enough to work in a t shirt. Just run it on and off as the temp gets lower and the tank will last for quite awhile. Not as easy as a dedicated furnace setup, but not expensive.

    They were in pristine condition upon transfer of ownership. What I described earlier, details how the stress fractures were formed.

    Lol. Not going to happen here. We both knew what we were getting ourselves into. He picked mine up from Darton East. Not far from where he lived. So he was able to inspect them first hand prior to buying them.

    alot of factors were involved with the engine blowing. its in good hands now. ive wiped my hands of it all. also i will never ever modify a 1gr again.

    In all seriousness, not accusing you just not following your thread too well. You just took off the head and the damage from ping and oil pressure loss is evident. Then you further showed how the pre-detonation damaged your pistons. I was curious if they were stock and you mentioned they were CP and you sold them.

    Anyways, the important question is: what's your timeline on goldilocks? Also, have you figured out a trac bar for your rear? I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess goldi will be throwing down a lot of torque.

    rwd only keeping the diff caused my oil pan to be way too small and didnt want to spend the 3k for a dry sump system. an didnt want to break the 4wd from all the hp lol
