TORSPD: NEVR

It was a project build by TRD. I still like the s/c on it, as well as the R&D they did for it, a lot more than the current setup.

Such as something as simple as these velocity stacks.



And double oil coolers.

 

I see, crazy! Is the TRD S/C somewhat similiar to this in anyway? I don't see why they would put the research into this S/C and then put a bunch of research into another one when they already have one. haha. Unless of course this one was likely to not be safe enough for the average Joe I guess.

 

I honestly have no idea on their similarities, as far as performance goes.

By the looks, they are clearly different. Throttle body, and belt routings are in far different locations than the ones offered today.

 

So when are you joining that uae FJ drift team?

I'm just playing the waiting game till they have it cataloged. Then its buy, buy, buy. And buy. I would still love to know the specs though if they release one that is vvt-i friendly

so let me get this straight, you are now going to have a 4.3 that you are looking to boost up to 7-800??? Stroked? Holeee sheeit! This is probably going to seem like a silly question but there is a reason for it, what kind of MPG's do you expect to get?

 

If I had to estimate? My Xrunner was supposed to get 20 mpg's combined, I was getting 22 winter gas and 24 summer with all my upgrades. I drive "spiritedly".

Educated guess would put him in the 26-27 range at least. prob 28.

 

I shouldn't have said break-in, bad choice of words. Only 1000km's break in period. 8,000 km's are the oil change intervals. I'll be switching to synthertic after the first 8,000. Which then nets me 16,000 km oil change intervals. Which is just simply awesome.

 

When the man Chris "Diablo" Delgado fine tunes it, cruising around I should easily be in the 16-22 mpg range. At the track and what not, I can imagine an estimated 4-10 mpg. Lol

 

??? My efficiency when up when i was boosted. Though suppose your running larger injectors.

 

I will be running 2000cc Injector Dynamics. Even at that size they flow a proper spray pattern across the entire voltage range for precise atomization and efficient burning. At this point though, it is all about the quality of the tune. That will be the ultimate end factor in my daily mpg.

Before it even gets that far along, I am going to drive around on the stock ecu and injectors. To break it in. I will be anxious to see the mpg in that scenario as well.

 

Took two nights to read from start. Learned more than I thought possible about a subject I thought I knew somthing about. This tread is extreamly valuable to any and all who will take the time to read and understand it. You have done a great service and can be proud. Waiting to see vids of build setup. That means a lot, and I truly appreciate what you said. Trust me. I still don't know everything there is to know, when it comes to what I am building. Still learning a ton, and want to make sure to be able to share that info for those that take the time to read through. Sharing is the only way we move the aftermarket for our trucks forward. Not matter which sector of modification that is.

My ultimate goal is to build a bad ass truck. Along the way, help inform all of those who are interested in any portion of what I am doing. That they can get it right the first time. Currently, I feel that my biggest success in that has been helping my good friend Toon714, get his truck to where it is. With a minimal amount of issue. And his truck is quite the compilation of power and style.

 

I'll be coming through Texas to hopefully meet up with you guys on the way to the Moab meet. Also want to catch up with Delmarva & SecretSquirrel too.
