This was a fun little experiment. My friend Grumpy was over, after Cars & Coffee. Decided to measure approximate ride height differences. His expression was priceless.

I have 20" wheels, and with tires am 28" and change in over all diameter.

His XR is dropped with the XII Performance drop. He has 18" wheels. If I had the same size wheels and tires as his truck, mine would be lower. Hehe.

 

Yup. And it I already have a spare set of forged CP Pistons waiting to go in at a later date.

Wow... That almost seems weird to me. My measurement is almost 41".

If I had know that this would have worked long ago, I could have saved a chunk of money too!

Being that I now have a reference of how tall my ride height is, I am more confident about taking it to the road coarse. Giggity!

To aid in first start-up and running, I ordered a few things from Jegs today.

Redline Engine Break-in oil. Here are its specs:

So once that break-in oil arrives. I should have the engine in the bay and buttoned up. Fill it up with fluids, and wait on the clutch to come in.

Getting very close to having the truck running. In at least N/A trim. Quite exciting.

Actually, I cannot compare my daily schedule to anyone else's, but it is still hard find the time myself.

It is actually quite easy on this engine. The instructions can be a tad confusing the first time, while trying to setup the cams. But once that is done, it all falls in place. Even getting cylinder one to TDC is easy, do to the timing line on the block and dimple on the crank. I can post up all of the pictures of that if you are interested?

So I installed the injectors and OEM fuel rail. Got the engine off of the stand, and received a call to head back to work.... sigh....
