    For the bottom end i still need to order one more box of 2JZ head studs for the mains, new oil squirters, and OEM rod and main bearings. I bought a brand new Toyota crank and plan on sending it out next week to have the main and rod journals treated with tungsten disulfide. Once I get the pistons (I hope this week) I will send them out to swain tech to be coated and then I should be able to put the block together!! I'm really looking forward to getting it together, it's been a long time in the making. Once the block is complete I will need to get a game plan together for the heads. I recently finished assembling the front engine cover. Here are a few pics.

    Thank you, hopefully I will have some more updates soon. I have been cleaning up the upper oil pan getting it ready for sand blasting and I noticed that there is a casted port with mounting locations right next to where the dipstick installs. I’m thinking this might be used for a sensor in another car model that uses the 1GRFE but haven’t found anything yet. Im just curious and wanted to see if anyone had an idea what it is or maybe it was never used for anything.

    Look at the 2gr models as well, unless I'm mistaken, they use the same block/ oil pan as th 1gr

    I had my driveshaft re-tubed, u-jointed, and slip yoked. Verified my angles with the app from Tremec. Man what a difference! That was last week.

    Not much of an eye candy component though....At least it is an update. :rolleyes:

    So, with OVTune opening the door to custom maps in the ECU, how does that affect your plans, since you have a Haltech in the mix now?
