    I don't follow all the details of this build and couldn't even if i tried, but your a madman! I wish i had the engine knowledge you have..this truck is crazy! Keep it up!

    Kiiiiiiinnnnnndddddd of.... #3 is being bullet proofed, while #4 has become a Frankenstein conglomerate of #'s 1, 2, & 4. Lol. So technically I am on number four. But still have effectively two good engines. Built and a spare. :D

    I have tossed that idea around for a loooooong time. Had I not had so many setbacks, I probably would already have a kit installed. Flex fuel sensor will help with the ProEFI. Depending on how things look when I have the built engine in and tuning underway, it might or might not be a necessity.
    I'll be ready, but I have the feeling that hopes of being ready with the truck is not going to happen. :pout:

    Yeah, if I am leaving a full parking lot. Lol. At least for the time being. o_O

    But wouldn't help out with any detonation issues and allow you to run a little more boost.

    I know in the Turbo Buick world water/meth injection is a big thing and I've been reading that Subaru tuners are using it as well

    Yes definitely. I would prefer doing it that way over adding addition timing anyway. But E85 is effectively a race fuel octane. Plus it runs cooler than regular petrol. Down side is that it just isn't nearly as consistent regulated as gasoline.

    So, depending upon how much power I can make with the stroked engine, cams, and boost on the new larger turbo, in conjunction with what datalogs show during tuning, will give me an idea of what more will be necessary to reach my power goals.

    First will be to see where it is N/A. That will give an easy estimation of where it will be at 8-9psi. That psi on these engines (aside from modifying timing too much) usually equates to double the wheel HP over N/A.

    Then it will be to 15psi, on pump gas, and see where it is. Then I go from there.

    Do you think your 4.3L N/A will make more power than a factory 4.0L N/A since you are running a lower compression on the 4.3L?

    Yeah but the displacement change isn't massive by any means .3 to. 4 liters. I don't really know how compression affects power but I thought typically higher compression produces more power.

    Hey Tor, in the end did you stay with the factory bore and just increased to a 105mm stroke?

    I am not sure what the combo will do. Even with the 9:1 compression, I think that the addition of cams to the increased stroke it will still make decent numbers. "Decent" is relative to an unknown though.

    All I do know is that I was told that people in the UAE have reported picking up 100whp with the added stroke. What I don't know, is what were the supporting mods.

    And slightly over bore @ 3.708 vs 3.701. Just so that I have a .004" clearance for piston expansion.

    I see. So you should start calling it a 4.4L then:D haha. Factory is a 3.956L and you will be a 4.389L. If factory can round up then so can you haha. Plus it's a 0.433L increase anyway.

    Was just contacted about the clutch. Said they are going to test fit the components and make sure all is right.Flywheel is complete.

    Either a sprung hub or unsprung, if the sprung doesn't fit.

    They will check all of the clearances against the specs I supplied them with, as well as the parts I gave them. Then it will be done. Woot.
