    Why not make a bracket that points the actuator at the flapper arm? I Reduce the variables?

    If its working now I guess my input isnt needed lol but I thought i'd just drop it in here anyways

    If you’re talking about going to an external wastegate I just happen to have one for sale. It might be too small but it’s a TiAL 38mm MVS v-band and all of the springs :D

    You can make it work if the axial plane of the rod is pointing towards the mounting point.. The deflection of your current setup is all that is screwing you. The guide idea someone else mentioned would be a work around, but just rotating that actuator towards the flapper arm, will solve your issues..

    The actuator originally was in direct line of the flapper arm but he had to move it due to clearance issues. That's why I recommended the guide.

    That is an easy fix however, the with the rod end attached, even on the same plane, the exhaust gases can fairly easily push the gate open. I can try it flat for the sake of you guys.

    Mechanical advantage, yes. Deflection, not so much.

    Can't wait to test out my faster paced skill. :D

    As well as the Turbosmart IWG. ;) That is my Ohlins spanner wrench. A friend had to borrow it to adjust the coilovers on a few Ferraris at his shop.

    Well @Roostfactor and @MrCrowntown I'll tell you how last night went.

    To start off, I adusted the rod end down to be parallel with the rod coming out of the wastegate.

    Finger test at back of rod end = very little pressure needed to overcome the tension of the spring. Even with preload. 1psi max.

    Cut 1" wide bar stock, in prep for me removing the turbo today.

    As of this morning, I pulled the truck into the garage. Started disassembly. Proud of myself for how quickly that turbo can be removed. :D

    Noticed that the charge tube going into the throttle body looked a bit curious. As it was touching the radiator overflow container. Whereas there is normally 1/4" of clearance. Following the tubing to both ends, I quickly realized that the portion going into the TB coupling, was dislodged.

    Baaaaaaaarely hanging out of the end of the coupling. The overflow was preventing it from coming out any further. Means that my previously awkwardly angled setup should be working correctly. Time to test, after I lay a bead on the end of the tubing.

    This was the end which feeds the TB.

    Right here is where there was a 1/16" -1/8" gap.

    Re-aligned the tube so that the difference is more evenly split between the two couplings, marked, and ready to lay a bead roll.

    Hope it works for ya. Definitely cant build boost with the inlet popped off but you said before you were at 7 psi then dropped to 4. That doesnt sound like an intake leak.
