    Thats a pretty big chunk! You like leaving the interiors unmessed with too eh? I don't think I'd want to tear mine out just for a little weight saving. I like the look of it.

    One day I will get some good seats. Not yet though. I like the interior to look as OEM as possible. Change is futile though. lol.

    I like most things in an OEM interior, adding guage clusters and all that starts to deminish from the looks of em I find. With the torque app I have all details forwarded to my phone so I don't have to add extra gauges. Besides that I only change some lighting and stereos. I really want to add better dome lights in my car, never got around to doing that in the taco.

    What all have you changed on your interior??

    hehe, when you strip a car for weight you hear EVERYTHING :) Imagine being in a soup can and getting slid down a bar rail... bout sums it up. I vote keep your interior intact Tor, it will keep you sane when you're on the street. Just add more boost and keep the weight :D

    That is exactly why I won't strip everything. Shoot, I already get enough noise through the transmission tunnel, where I still need to properly patch up the opening. T56 sits so much farther back that the opening is now twice as long. Got some material to patch it up, but since the truck isn't taking most of my time right now, I am taking care of stuff around the house finally.

    I will get there though. The most that will come out, unless I start doing some sort of sanctioned racing (which I seriously doubt) would be the rear seats and front seats replaced with better seats.

    Broken Tusk - the only interior changes that I have are two gauges as well as the Craven Speed gauge pod. Which is waiting for two more.

    I was just thinking of asking you what your rig weighed and you guys were discussing it. I just weighed mine last night. I had a full tank of gas and some tools in the toolbox as well as a shit ton of clothes and blankets in the backseat so it isn't a perfect measurement, but it weighed 5260lbs.

    On the mpg note, I just got back from a 1000 mile round trip from Idaho to Colorado and back to Idaho and did 5+mph over the speed limit the entire drive (the speed limit was 75mph for about 2/3rds of the drive and 65mph for the rest) just to save a little time and I averaged 17-18mpg. I was stoked since I have been averaging about 12-14mph on winter blend fuel in town though...

    Dropped off my spare steering knuckles to SIK X, to get some height adjustments made, yesterday. Once done, it will help reduce the upward angle of my Upper Control Arm. Right now, it is near its limit of travel.

    This weekend, I might swap on the XR leaf springs from Britt's truck. I imagine that they will only raise the rear a half inch, but should give a much better ride than my worn out 4x4 leaf springs.

    Hopefully I can also get those modded control arms on as well. Got a pretty big meet coming up on Sunday, at a mutual friend's shop. K Messer is hosting it. Kind of hoping to have the truck "ready" for that. Even though it still needs plenty of work.

    Finally got around to sealing up the transmission tunnel. Bought some aluminum from Lowe's, and cut it to fit.

    Now I just need to seal it up and rivit it down. The boot will still be removable, and what isn't shown, is the rubber boot which seals around the base of the shifter. It will be good to finally have this portion finalized.

    Anybody know if an FJ 3rd member will bolt up to the Tacoma?

    Or if their ring and pinion will bolt up to the Tacoma LSD?

    I just checked out east coast gear supply and it looks like the non e-locker fj 3rd's are different than our non e-locker 3rds (e-locker 3rd's are the same though). Still looking to see if the ring and pinion itself is different or not.

    EDIT: According to this it runs an 8.4" R&P like the non e-locker tacoma's so the R&P might be swappable.

    I'm guessing the 3rd's have a different bolt pattern though since ECGS lists them separately. It says the FJC and 4Runner have the same 3rd's though.
