Got this a while ago. Still need to get the fittings for it.

I did have to pull it apart because the screen was loose. Had to add an addition washer for the allen nut on the inside which secures it. The nut was bottomed out before it actually tightened down the screen completely.





Beautiful piece though.

This are the two oil coolers which I will be installing. The newer larger one is an Earl's, which is made by Holley. That is the to-be oil cooler.











Need to buy to -10 ORB to -10AN fittings, and the bracket, and I can finally install that bad boy.

 

Once the hood was back, then there was another vacation to sunny SD.

Then this happened last night.






I also changed the clutch line from the hard line/soft line to a solid braided line.





There is a coupling half way down the line. Going to end up putting a Staulbi Clean Break fitting in there. Far superior to the Jiffy Tite fittings.

I had passed my bandwidth for the month, on Photobucket a little while ago. So I didn't feel like posting pictures for a while. As well as the fact that I have enjoying the down time of just driving and not posting.

 

Just returned from www.KPRacing.com Beautiful shop, and wow, they are some knowledge people. Of course, they should be. Considering the fact that they hold the record for the Fast (manual) 6 speed in the quarter.

Talked with them and worked up a new plan. Looks like I will be repairing the syncros in this T56, then selling it. Going to get a Magnum T56 and build that. Under their recommendations, it is the all around better choice for road course racing. Which also falls in line with why the Syborg also used the Magnum and not the regular T56.

Built to the hilt.

They also said that they can make the adapters necessary to make it an AWD trans. Woot

The mods are slow right now, unfortunately. Just that part of the process with where it is.

Talking with KP Racing, the transmission internally was in terrific condition. Blocker rings were the only bad part.

Upgraded to the input shaft to the Viper input shaft, had the parts sent out to be cryo'd, shot peened, and micronited.

Provisions for the Chilton pump are being done to the casing. And keeping this T56 after all. Ended up being the wisest choice after all.

Need to get the oil cooler mounting bracket in, and I will be able to install that air-air oil cooler kit finally. After something like two years of it waiting for parts to come in.....

Unfortunately, it has come to be that another year has passed without being able to enter into The Texas Mile. However, things are looking up for next year. I am hoping to be ready for the March event. We will see.

Transmission will be back the first week of Novermber. That gives me plenty of time to get a few more things done to be ready for MSR Houston, on November 30th.

One last thing. Going to be helping Lucario Runner install his new set of URD's SPEC-U equal length long tube headers this afternoon.
