- 100% Bolt-On UCA constructed of 4130 Chromoly.

- Designed with added caster. When you lift a vehicle with factory upper control arms the wheel will move towards the rear of the vehicle (negative caster). With negative caster you will often have wandering or darting of the vehicle. The TOTAL CHAOS UCA's have positive caster built-in for lifted applications. This allows vehicles with 2.5-3" lifts to get back into factory alignment specs.

- TOTAL CHAOS includes 1" I.D. uniballs that feature a heat treated stainless steel ball & heat treated stainless steel race for maximum corrosion resistance and component longevity. These uniball's also features a military grade PTFE woven fabric liner that helps prevent noise.

- Custom profile upper and lower hi-misalignment spacers maximize droop wheel travel and are machined from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel. Will allow for up to 1" of additional wheel travel when paired with extended travel coil over shocks.

- Urethane bushings reduce bushing deflection compared to stock rubber bushings

- 2 stage powder coat process includes a durable clear coat to provide a long lasting finish.

- Complete grade 8 hardware kit is included.

- TC includes 3/4" chromoly heim joints for the pivots.
- Heim upper control arms are fully adjustable to allow maximum tuning of caster and camber

Please watch this video before greasing your TOTAL CHAOS UCA's. DO NOT pump grease into the UCA without loosening the thru-bolt. Failure to do so will result in bushing damage and require bushing replacement.

How often should they be greased?

 

It depends on usage and application. We have some customers that do it every oil change and others that grease the UCA's after every hard use.

Greasing every 5k miles is good practice but you could possibly go longer if you do a lot of hwy miles

How do the TC UCAs profile compare to the stock 2016+ UCAs? My current wheel/ tire setup is Cooper ST Maxx's in 255/85r16 on stock OR suspension/wheels. I don't have any rub, but the top edge of the tires is definitely close to the UCAs at full lock ( closest point is at the front side of the UCA, ~3 inches forward of the ball joint). I'm looking at swapping suspension for the ADS extended travel.

I've seen that JBA specifically calls out a more negative offset required to run 255/85/16 with their UCAs. I haven't found anything on any other UCAs that would confirm if the stock OR wheels would work or not. Any feedback on how the TC UCAs would work with this setup would be greatly appreciated.

 

We have a few customers that experience rubbing when running 35x12.5" tires and stock wheels (without wheel spacers). At full lock, the tire does rub a tiny bit on these wider setups.

You shouldn't experience any issues with the size you're trying to run. Proper alignment is key to making sure everything is where it needs to be. Often times a poor alignment will result in rubbing.

I wouldn't expect any issues with the setup you're trying to run. Give us a shout or comment below if you have more questions!

Thanks for the reply. For reference, here's my tightest clearance point with my existing setup:

That photo is from the passenger side with the wheel at full lock to the left. The camera is pointing along the same lines as the tire and is at the same height as the UCA.

 

As I mentioned above, you shouldn't run into any issues with this setup. Clearance might be a little tight at factory height, once you install the ADS coilovers and add a little lift, everything will be just fine

 

Do you experience wandering or darting of the vehicle while driving? Are you running a lift kit?
