I just don't get all the hype? On the news everyday. Hotels going for thousands a night. People wanting to camp or park on your property. People coming from everywhere to see total solar eclipse. Only happens once in a lifetime. I realize eclipses are nice to see but really...i guess it's just me and I know a lot of people will really enjoy watching, but it's just not that big deal to me. I wont go out of my way to see it. Yea it will only happen once but you also only die once. Doesn't mean I want to be there or go out of my way. Ok, done venting, just tired if hearing about it every..... single.......day.......

I live in the path of about 99.5% totality, so I don't have to go any further then my rear deck.

But it's a sight of a lifetime! You gotta join the fray! LOL. Just messing with you.

If you have ever seen one, it's really pretty cool. Many years ago we got to watch one in the front yard with a welding mask. It's pretty cool. Lay in a lawn chair with the mask on, sip on a cool drink and enjoy the sight. I do understand about the stupid all day every day nonstop blabbing about it, makes you want to avoid it.

On east coast only tho, and in April weather will likely preclude good watching

When was the last one? I remember watching one in the early '90's, don't remember if it was total or not?

It was kind of odd how in the middle of the day, everything got dark for about 15 minutes. I consider that bucket list item done with.
