Highway 26 was backed up 30 miles last night. This was per OSP. Supposed to get worse, too!

I'm in Louisiana and people are buying these glasses for stupid prices. Even buying the replacement welding lenses to watch this thing.

I'll just go burn my corneas to oblivion and blame it on the government for not protecting me.

    Yes it is.

We all know solar eclipses happen all over the world all the time, what makes this one unique:

    1. The path of totality goes crosses the whole country.

    2. No need to travel to Asia or some random spot in the South pole to experience one of the many that occur "all the time"

    3. Combination of 1 and 2 equals once in a lifetime.

the 2023 will be a different kind of solar eclipse..not the same as this one.

And im not talking about path ..

In oregon on Wednesday and Thursday there was already a backup in heavy traffic at a stand still. Not 1 or 2 miles but 30 miles and only getting worse. Many places already running out of fuel and suppliers can't keep up.

If you were alive in the nineties then you've seen an eclipse of some sort almost every year.

    https://www.space.com/25644-total-solar-eclipses-frequency-explained.html

"It is a popular misconception that the phenomenon of a total eclipse of the sun is a rare occurrence. Quite the contrary. Approximately once every 18 months (on average) a total solar eclipse is visible from some place on the Earth’s surface. That's two totalities for every three years."
