I wonder if any cults have a suicide pact going on with the eclipse?

It's just one of those things I guess. I know it's a great thing to see and everyone will enjoy it. I'm in that line where it will be total so everywhere you go everyone is talking about it every single day for months already. It's like that number one hit that you really dont like but everywhere you go its playing.

I heard about this when I went to a talk at the air and space museum with my buddy about Planet X. The guy that got Pluto demoted found another planet...sort of. Looking at orbits and using math they know a planet, 10x the mass of Earth, is on an orbit around our solar system outside the Kuiper belt. They just haven't found it yet with a telescope.

Pretty interesting. More interesting than an eclipse.

If at the height to the totality you were to go dance counter-clockwise around your Tacoma while chanting the terms of your warranty, all the problems you were having with your truck would disappear.
    Honestly, try it!

I've been to the Smithsonian air and space museum in Washington, totally fascinating and an awe aspiring moment. But it must have been a no nerd day, because no talk about phantom planets and mathematical calculations based on planetary gravitational pulls. Maybe a convention somewhere that day.

There is no such thing as a no nerd day at the air and space museum.

Which one? On the National Mall or at Dulles? Reason I ask is I'm planning to visit in July and would like to check things out.

Nerds were all at the Natural History museum that day. I could tell some stories about the arachnid nerds who think humans are a lower order of life and made a point of telling me.

BTW...My father in law has his name in the air and space museum on a plaque. He designed PT6 Twinpack. Motor used in the Huey helicopter. Worked for Pratt and Whitney, the manufacturers.
