Long story short avoided two stopped cars in the very left lane of a 4 lane interstate. Downshifted breaked quickly to 35mph then was rear ended by a f150 traveling at about 70 mph which pushed me into a Ford Flex further causing a 6 car accident. No one was hurt besides bumps and bruises. My airbags did not go off but that was good cause I limped my car to the side of the road after the crash. The f150 air bags went off. Overall the f150 was at fault. This truck served me way better then any other, and I’m thankful for how it held up. To note I was not at fault

Insurance: will they cover exhaust magnaflow; intake afe, front runnner roof racks, sliders, and camper ? Or should I go pull it all off today at the wreck yard. I owned the truck out right fully paid off. I want to just get the value of the truck and some of the parts and then get myself a replacement. Does anyone have experience with this or any recommendations with insurance ..?

When you add/modify stuff on your truck you need to let your insurance agent know ASAP because they will provide additional coverage for the mods. Not sure if you can do anything after the fact.

PS: Glad you're OK Taco bro...

Wow, glad you are ok. That’s a scary wreck. If insurance won’t cover your aftermarket stuff, pull it off. If you’re wanting a pro, now is the perfect opportunity! No trade in hassle!

Call your insurance agent and find out, but it sure seems like there is no way that topper isn't damaged.

    Glad everyone walked away!

yea insurance said if i provide receipts for anything that I bought for the truck and its on it; Everything will be covered but they said if it was my fault that would be a different story. So I'm thinking leave the majority of the stuff on the truck then go get myself a 6 speed TRD pro in cement. That's where I'm at right now. Overall I'm just so amazed at how soft the impact was when the F-150 hit me. And the fact that I was still able to put it in first gear and drive it to the shoulder is crazy!!

Be prepared. Normally in chain type accidents like that, everyone pays for the car in front of them. Hopefully someone was ticketed and fault assigned but I've seen a lot of these where the middle cars will be deemed at fault for hitting the vehicle in front of them. Glad everyone's ok and I'm sorry about the truck.

Glad to hear you're safe! The Taco did it's job, and did a fine job at that considering the circumstances of the accident. I'm sorry to hear about the truck, but in the end things will work out! Gives me a lot of faith, knowing that it protected you in an accident like that.

Happened on halloween, my insurance needed receipts for everything I bought. The wheels, tires and level kit. Meeting with agent in a few days to finalize the pay out
