After a whopping 4 months of ownership I got rear ended. 17 days after lifting it. So let’s play totaled or not! What do you all think? I think totaled.

Is there frame damage? If so, at very minimum after factoring that in, its done.

Yes we were all good for the most part. The Tacoma did it’s job.

Can’t tell if there is. Nothing easy to see except the shackle mount being twisted.

Good to hear, see the face in the pic.

My assumption is they will total that truck out. Too much body damage and potential frame damage.

    Totalled, RIP.

I'm glad everyone is ok, that's the most important thing. Still sucks though!

Looks totaled to me. Just looking at those pics over half the body panels are damaged. Most importantly everyone is ok.

    Like, so many.
Agree with the others. I know it's a hassle, but glad everyone is ok. If it's totaled will you get another Tacoma.

What yr. is it,? I can't tell by looking. The newer it is, the more it takes to be totaled.

Sorry to hear about your troubles....the main thing is you and your kids are safe. Given the age and mileage I too believe the truck is totaled. Besides you probably want a clean break away and start new again anyways.
Good Luck - stay safe and drive smart!

    Too few to list.
2011 with roughly a value of $15-17K. Looks to be totaled. Damages will probably over $8K although some insurance companies push up to 75% if Actual Cash Value.

Looking at the pics on my phone, it was obvious that it was totaled. Now looking at the pics on the computer monitor, it's way, way, without a doubt, totaled. Even if it was a 2016 3rd gen it would be totaled. It hit the rear tire so hard it snapped the leaf spring off. There's definitely going to be frame damage. Probably axle damage. The front damage definitely got into the welded in core support. The cab corner and the door damage just adds to everything else that puts the repair cost way beyond the value of the truck. The 70% number needed to total it is not even in the street, beside the parking lot, outside the stadium, of the ball park.
