tow package

hey fellas,

I was just wanting to find out what is included in a tow package (in 2003) and how to know if i do have one. and if the truck in-fact can actually tow 5000 pounds. i was looking at getting a small skid-steer and with the trailer it would be a little more then 5000 pounds behind the truck. can the tacoma do it??
i should also mention that i would maybe tow the thing 2 or 3 times a year.

I'm not sure, but careful now, haul != tow AFAIK. You might be able to tow 5000 pounds, but I doubt you can haul it.

Look at your fan clutch attachment, green = your good (5000 lbs), orange = 3500 lbs. You can also search for verification on this, there are a couple threads that talk about this more in-depth, smart to check before hooking up to something! Good luck!
