they're even better. As long as its a kinetic recovery rope or strap.

But the bubba ropes have even more stretch than an ARB strap or other premium ones. I have a different brand than bubba but same idea and its a super smooth pull

because you've probably never seen rigging fail.

Rule of thumb the strap should be the weakest link for ideal safety.

You don't want a shackle or anchor point failing as that will send metal objects flying which can be lethal.
A failed trap can still do damage but not as likely or as deadly as a chunk of steel flying at you or whoever was pulling you.

I have the same ARB point as posted above and after doing the install anything that bolts to the factory point or the factory point itself is not a safe option for a snatch recovery. Rather not be a statistic. And you really do not want the injuries that can come with a failed recovery in the middle of nowhere.

same one I have. Expensive but worth it.

Any recovery point should tie back into the frame like this does.

OK... still a bit confused. aren't all of these options mounted to the exact same place with two bolts?

if so, the difference is only in the strength of the actual recovery point? the Bpf actually looks like two pieces welding together, although that may just be the image. The only difference in the other "red" one is that it is a solid piece with no bends in it?

aside from that one bolt I mentioned where I didn't remove the whole fender liner (I since bought that tool to remove those little push in clip things)

it really isn't that bad. Besides if you're going to use it, its definitely worth taking the time.

Yep! The lighting in the first pic is weird, but easier to see in the second one.

No, as I've never owned one. I have an aftermarket front bumper. A lot of people run them though and I have yet to hear of any failures. I mean, it's 1/2" thick steel which is thicc as hell. If you use this, and three grade 8 M12x1.25x40mm bolts, you'll be just fine.

does not exist as grade 2, 5 and 8 is for imperial hardware lol.

So if you go shopping for grade 8 metric hardware good luck.

Yep, you're right. Looks like the metric equivalent is class 10.9

    upload_2018-4-4_18-45-25.jpg

For anyone interested, I found class 10.9 M12x1.25x40mm bolts from fastenal.
