Hey guys I have a quick question about towing. Tomorrow I got to pick up a bobcat S130 skid steer and got to pull it about 80 miles on flat terrain. I was wanting to know if I can safety tow it and would it be more safe to load it to to where there is not much tongue weight on the truck. Thanks in advance, Clay

Long-time rule of thumb is 15% of load weight (trailer + contents) = tongue weight.

I don't know how much such a load would be but it should be fine long as it's mainly flat, don't know about 3rds but for 2nds I leave mine in 4d

If those figures are right I would not do it, I have done 4000lb and my personal safety limit is 5000lb. Maybe a friend with a 1500 or a 2500 truck

    Newp.

    5100 lb skidsteer
Minimum 7k trailer is actually over 2k, so it has to be a 10k trailer which is going to be 2500ish+

7600+ lb is pushing it for a half ton.
