I own a 2019 TRD Off Road and we are looking to get a "lite" travel trailer. The trailer the wife has her eye on is a Bullet Crossfire. UVW of 3700, carrying capacity of 770 and hitch weight of 480. According to the website the Tacoma can tow up to 6500.

Can the Tacoma handle pulling a trailer that heavy? Anyone have some real-life experiences to share.

    Thanks

Great place to start doing research, but you need to do the work yourself.

Learn what your towing capacity is on your truck. Not the internet telling you 6500#. There is a sticker you need to understand on the insider of your drivers door.

Check out this post in my build thread. Near the bottom I have some recommendations because we see your question (and similar derivations) so much.
