just bought a 2013 tacoma, unfortunately I'm in a pinch and need to tow a 2000 pound pop-up camper (about approx. 400 miles round trip) I will probably only have a maximum of 500 miles on the truck. I know tacomas are great trucks but....... will I be killing my truck with so little break in mileage?

2000 lbs is nothing, if it were 5000 I might say yes, but at 2000 your fine

The first weekend I had my truck I went on a 200 mile trip at hi turnpike speed. Next weekend I towed my bass boat.
Don't go stupid with the truck and you will be fine. Like Rick said. If it was higher weight then I would rethink.
