I own a 2005 pre-runner without the towing package and I want to tow a 5200 lb boat and the truck is rated for 3500. If I just put a transmission cooler on the truck would I be safe or do I need to add anything else,or I should not bother at all, the truck is under spec.

A transmission cooler will not give you a higher tow capacity.

You should not exceed the towing capacity.

Cover King Seat Covers, WeatherTech Liners, PopNLock, storage bin locks, N-Fab Step bars, and G4 Elite Tonneau cover.
Add an oil cooler as well. Also a larger Alternator. I don't think I'd tow something that large for very far without the entire tow package.
