Toyota 2012 Build Dates

My lease is up in July and I have been looking for any info I can find on the 2012's, thought I would pass this along as I haven't seen it posted yet..

2012 Tacoma Initial Production Month: 7/11
2012 Tacoma Initial Delivery Month: Aug/Sep

so this obviously means no new 3rd gen for 2012?

 

well no...but its been a long time running!

 

i hope they leave the 2nd gen forever, i really don't think they could build a nicer looking truck, and if they did,well i guess i'd need a new truck

 

I'm just hoping for the updated 4 Liter with Dual VVTi!

 

On premium and I'm guessing worse MPG than the dual VVT, but the thought has crossed my mind..

 

I must be missing the "obviously" part.

Are you thinking the production dates are too soon for a redesign?

 

On Wednesday 3/9/11 Toyota is going to present its global vision 2020:

according to the article "Investors and analysts have called on Toyota to reveal more about plans for next-generation models"

Perhaps we will know more about Toyota's future model plans on Wednesday.

 

Also, I don't believe the build dates are telling of whether or not we will see an updated Tacoma or not. Toyota is also supposed to have a new Camry and RAV4 for the 2012 model year, and their respective build dates are pretty typical according the chart. I haven’t seen any spy shots or leaked information regarding a new Camry or RAV4 yet either.

Inconclusive in my opinion.

 

The world is supposed to end in 2012 so I don't know what you guys are talking about.

 

Well based on the 1st gen run from mid 95-05 with the 2nd gen being built from mid 05-now I don't really think they will release a 3rd gen until mid MY 2013. After the world ends. And the Zombieacolypse. So when Toyota does finally release the new Tacoma it will be the most bad ass truck in the world.

And hopefully they don't wait that long cause I really want a new off-road truck that doesn't look exactly like my 08 X-Runner
