    So I just got a new Tacoma. As I’ve begun to set it up and learn the vehicle, I discovered I could take advantage of a remote start system if I download the Toyota app. Once I got there I saw that it is a subscription service and that you have to accept a bunch of terms and agreements. My question is: is this worth it? Most of what I’m reading shows that all the data from my truck, such as location, speed, etc will be sent to Toyota and its affiliates. Does anyone have experience with using this service? Has this backfired on anyone as far as insurance goes or anything?

    My 2018 w/manual trans doesn't have the feature, but I seem to recall seeing it mentioned that you can remote-start the later automatic trans trucks using the key fob, only caveat is you cannot be in another county or state and be able to start your truck that is sitting in your driveway, you infact have to be within keyfob range of your truck
