Well if they don't treat mine I will be shoving the lawn sprinkler under it when I wash in the winter which is usually once a week as I have a heated area to do so.

I ususally go to the car wash and take the pressure washer turn it on high pressure soap and put it in the littlw holes in the frame. i start in the back and work my way up then i turn it on rinse and do the same thing and watch all the dirty water flow out

Back in the day there was and probably still is a rubberised undercoating that is tar in a jar, at least thats what I called it, and it can and does hide anything it is sprayed on, if this warrientied product is a 3 part process that is baked on then it should be strong. That being said, it will not fix a frame from rust like that. Just like a doctor, get a second opinion, and good luck.

Also that kind of rust needs to be blasted off, sand, or similar media, or ground off then primed, painted and then finally coated, sounds like they just wanted you out the door asap for as little as possible cost to them. I like the Ice pick idea.

Got a call from the Toyota case worker and he read to me what Toyota feels is the right way to address inspecting a frame bla bla bla, He said that owners are entitled to one complimentry frame inspection a year and for me to have it inspected, that said mine is in great shape, I was thinking that if the dealer wanted to treat it for free regardless of the condition go ahead, but I don't think that is going to happen, unless there slow on shop work.So I guess its getting the lawn sprinker treatment underneath when I wash it this winter.

I am taking it in for trans service next month and will see what they say.
