Just moved to a new province, and had to get an "out of province" inspection done on my taco. I was pleased to hear that there was NOTHING that needed attention. Not even the tires! :D

I bought the truck new in 2008, I've got 77,XXX Km's on it, and I've driven it across Canada twice towing around 4500lbs both times. I've taken it off roading (nothing crazy), hauled more lumber and crap than I care to remember, and three years later, she still hasn't asked a thing from me! Gotta love this truck!

I felt bad for the guy in the 2008 Ram 4x4 beside me who needed a new fuel sending unit (which is part of the fuel pump on that rig, apparenlty), and had leaking rear end.... He was about to pay a $1000 bill.

YEa, sounds like its doing what anything should. I'd expect the same out of an isuzu or ford.. whatever.

LEER Shell with dome lights operated with 3 way switches, aux backup lights with relay and 3 position switch, modified wiring to compass/temp display and clock to include switch that disables dimming function (poor man's DRL solution), Scan Gauge 2
So you're not allowed to drive with a leaking rear end and non functioning fuel gauge? Damn.....California only wants to know what's coming out the tailpipe....noone cares about the bald tires, worn out steering, and exxon Valdez oil slick!

Why you gotta bring me down??? :)

Honestly, there's a lot of negative threads about our trucks I read here daily. Just thought I'd post up some of the positive.

    Go TOYYYOTA! *jumps in air*

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
pay no attention to him. :D
otherwise I will meet you at arctic circle ;)
Same here 5 years of owning a truck and no repairs.
I painted my frame to prevent rust but thats it. Trucks starts every morning and takes what is served. Truck towed construction equipment, drove through blizzards, trails, sand, sea water.
This is my first vehicle that I did not had to get repaired during first 3 years 36k miles. Also truck had not been in dealership since spring 2009 or 2008 dont remember anymore :D

The frontier site looks similar. Not so much the full size chevy though.

Japanese companies gave up their morals in favor for american dollars.
