Damn... The Nitto's look good and I loved my Graps.

I'm actually torn between the NRG and some KA2. We put some BFG's on my lady's 2002 taco, I like those too.

So.... What's the difference between the tire load index being 112 vs 123.

I can get 4 DuraTracs for $725 out the door at the tire works by my house, with the $100 rebate. Might pull the trigger

Looks great! Every time I see a post about AT's, I keep thinking how impressive the Falken AT3 is for the price.

112 is C load. 123 is E Load. C Load is lighter. Most will agree C is more than enough for a Tacoma. That being said I’m running E Load Nitto Ridge Grapplers until I upgrade to a 17” wheel and a 285/70/17 C Load tire.

    Ah ok..

My current Nitto Terra Grapplers are 265/75/r16 then they're 119/116Q

Man... After doing some research tonight I'm still torn. Thinking Nitto Ridge Graps, Dura, Winpeak, or KA2. Lol.

Miss the agressive look of my Toyo MT, but don't want the weight and noise.

I should be getting some Ridge Grapplers in a month or so. Pretty stoked.

Duratracs are loud after 20k. I’ve never been in a truck with NRGs, but my buddy has them on his T4R and loves them. Toyo R/Ts look fantastic too, but I’ve only ever seen them at a higher price.

I’m getting NRGs or Cooper S/T Maxx 285/75R16 for my next tire.

For whatever reason, I am not a fan of the way the Toyo's look. Actually not a huge fan of how all of the Toyo AT and MT tires look.

I think the MTs look good. The ATs look meh, but allegedly perform really well.

Didn’t see this post. Interesting that they’re quieter that low on miles .. figured they’d be similar brand new. The NRGs are comparable to weight with Duratracs, just seem like they’ll be significantly less noisy. Difficult to find lighter 33” tires for 16” wheels.

As far as running 285s on SCS offset with a third gen.. be prepared to hammer and cut away. I tried -12mm Ray10s and rubbed/clipped like crazy with new Duratracs (they are a hair taller than other tires..) up 3” with a CMC and alignment to try and clear.

The NRG even at 265/70/R17 are about 9lbs heavier than my KO2's at the same size. That's just another reason I made sure I didn't order the even heavier E-load NRG's that I don't need anyway. I know I am going to take a small hit on MPG though

Yeah I just realised Nitto RG's are 56 lbs a tire (give or take, depending on the size) and that seems really heavy and will further kill my gas mileage. Do they all have 10-ply, because I really don't need 10-ply tires.

Maybe I'll just go with the BFG KO2s.. They've been amazing on my fiance's truck

Check second post of my build thread to compare common 33” tire weights / load index / tread depth for 16” wheels.
