Yes, thanks for sharing something that must be personally difficult, I hope your posting will help keep a fellow TW member from having to go through what you have. I'm a skeptic and even though I like the South Main Auto YouTube channel, I still questioned if what he was saying was the truth. Too bad everyone that has had problems with this undercoating couldn't form a group and put this company out of business for good or get reimbursed for losses.

What scares me is that when Toyota does their “undercoat” it’s exactly the same. It’s a black sticky asphalty material that has the same properties

I don't know why Fluid Film or Krown doesn't team up with Toyota and offer FF or Krown as an option when buying the vehicle. At the very least Toyota should add a paragraph in the owners manual to apply an "oil" undercoating, especially in the rust belt where that slushy brine is applied in the winter.

After getting Toyotas undercoating, when working under my Tacoma I basically have to throw out my clothes and my arms are covered in the black undercoating. I have been applying FF over their undercoating and it does soften it up, but the biggest benefit is that FF locks the oxygen out which is one of the necessary ingredients for rust formation while creeping inside the front boxed section.

Was wiring my backup camera just now and noticed this. It looks like it’s part of the frame behind the bumper and next to where the receiver bolts on. I hope that I’m eligible for the replacement. I can try and provide better pictures if anyone can confirm this is part of the frame back here, it’s a tight spot to get to

Call exeter toyota and make an appointment with them to have it inspected. I'm very happy with the service they provide.
