Originally a thread called Almost $2,200 "Market Adjustment" on a base T4R!...

This was the only brand new T4R that I saw on the lot at Fred Beans Toyota yesterday; It's got the upgraded stereo with subscription-based navigation, and a third row seat, but it seems to be a fairly basic model and they want over $46K for it!

I think that this color combo is one of the most boring you can get, but I love the fact that the front of a white 4Runner resembles a Stormtrooper's helmet...

That's what I thought: I'm pretty sure this is what a new TRD PRO was going for in the summer of 2020!

 

I think I would rather wait until the 4Runner gets a different engine if I were to buy one.

My truck has the 4.0, if I got something new it would definitely have a more powerful engine. The 4.0 is a good engine, but I’m finding myself towing a lot more theses days.

If money weren’t an issue. I’d probably buy 2 vehicles. One 4 cylinder gas saver, and one towing rig.

 

The next 4Runner better not have a turbo 4-banger; That would be a downgrade in my opinion!

 

I’m guessing a hybrid first. Then possibly a turbo setup. It’s looking like the turbo is where most are headed. Fuel economy certainly has a big part in it.

 

If I were buying a new vehicle and the dealer had a $2000+ market adjustment I would tell him to call me when the market adjustment goes to $2000 off MSRP and walk out.

 

when do we think this ends? another 8-12 months when the chip thing turns around? It's basically impossible to get a vehicle without a markup lately.

 

How much?!?! Does the A/C work?
