I agree that its a heck of a truck for the $$.

I think the only issue that will come up are warranty issues. That truck begs to be thrashed. If Ford warranties the work then I will be impressed.

Its a fun looking truck. Not nice enough for me to want to trade in my taco. but if I was a f150 guy like the everyone else where i live i would be all over it.

Very Impressive truck even if it isnt a Tacoma. Personally, I wouldnt get it, but then again, I wouldnt get a new Tacoma. New vehicles just arent my thing. But I'd certainly consider if money werent really an option. As much as I love my Tacoma. When I get another vehicle... I'll have to remember to get the best one that fits my needs and not give my loyalty to an Automaker simply because they made a great vehicle before.

Toyota isnt paying me for my Loyalty...Why should I blindly give $ to them?
    (But Tacoma's really are sick!)

Guess you've never been in a Tundra towing anything then, cause its fine. Now a f250 diesel is another league.

Ford f150 = slow as shit gutless motor.

That simply is not true, there are countless threads of people towing large items on this forum with their Tacoma. Not to mention the Tundra with it's 5.7L V8 with 381 horse and 401 FTLBS Torque VS a Ford F250 5.4L at 300 horse and 365 FTLBS.

Tundra can haul 10k LBS and the F250 12.5K lbs big deal...

How many times do you haul 12500 lbs and how many times does the average person?

And it's not until you hit the F450 at $50k that you get anything bigger than the 5.4L

I love toyotas dont get me wrong, but I wouldnt want to tow some of the shit these guys on here are towing with their tacos. I cant even go over a bump without watching my box twist and bend, I wouldnt want to c what towing a lot of weight would do to it and the tundra is the same twisty design.

Again... its a F-150 with whistles and bells. But... I'd say that after a Tacoma, a Ford would probably be next on my list. I too think they're running a pretty tight ship these days and the quality has gone way up on a lot of their models.

I hate those graphics ($1075 option) - it looks like they went and stole some kid's drawings from a wastebasket in a junior high study hall.

Also - looking at the grill, I am thinking they are trying to say it is a FORD

I'm not sure why Neither GM or Ford have decided to introduce a real serious competitor to the Tacoma. The Colorado is a joke and the Ranger is hopelessly outdated to the point its almost a classic throwback to the 80's. Latest I've heard from GM was that they think the cost of such a truck would be more than consumers would want to pay. Wrong. A loaded Taco is 30k. So customers are obviously willing to fork over the money.

Yea seriously. I knew I wanted a midsize, only other I gave serious consideration to was the Frontier. As you mentioned, the Ranger is old, I think that truck is essentially at least 15 years old. Not a fan of Dakotas. I wouldn't ever buy a Colorado with that garbage inline 5 cyl. engine. I gave it an honest look when they put the 5.3L engine in it. But really nothing about it made it appealing over the Tacoma or even the Frontier other than the fact it had a V8 and had an available sunroof on both extended cab and crew cab where the Frontier only offers them on crews and obviously Toyota on none of them.
