If I register and pay the $15 two day fee, can I download and save as many pdf files as I want or can you just view them on screen. Ideally, I'd register for the two days and download everything I would ever want. Mostly I want the FSMs for my new 2010 tacoma, but it's looking like i'll get the taco bug and will want the older fsms too.

    Thanks,
    Ted

What I don't like about that site is that all the sections are separate files. I wish everything was in one big file so I can print it easier.

I know the 2nd gen tacos are similar, but HOW similar? I'd rather pay $15 and avoid confusion...

Yeah I'm kinda thinking $15 is not bad at all considering it's a lot more from the dealer.

Just purchased a 2010 Tacoma DoubleCab 6spd Man TRD OR... would like the service manuals, too. I would be willing to help finance/contribute to this endeavor. Thinking of doing it myself, but with a new truck that I'm outfitting for work and a newborn baby in the house I'm afraid the 48 hour will run out before I could download all the sections available.

Where can I pay money and download 2010 Tacoma Factory Service Manuals? I have money, just don't know where to throw it for manuals.

Yes, if you pay the $15 for a two day subscription you can download all the pdfs you want to your computer.

Be aware that you MUST have Adobe Acrobat installed on your PC. Other PDF readers are not supported, even though the demos work fine with other readers.

My question would be, "Who doesn't have Acrobat Reader downloaded on their computer?" This is what I want to know.

The TSBs, What's New are all in PDF, but the service manual is not. You will have problems capturing and saving the FSM content. It's in a format which makes it difficult to save.

If you have notions that you can save each page as a complete HTML file, that will fail too. I tried. I was able to copy and paste into MS word and I got lots to reference for the future.

I do recommend their TIS site. I found it to be very helpful.

My only question is, why the hell pay for it when you can get it for free? Unless you are using the manual for detailed electrical schematics related to options that weren't available in '06, which I doubt is the case, you're just throwing your money away.

If you download the files correctly from the ttora site, its pretty damn easy to find anything you want.

True to a degree. However with each year there are improvements to each model vehicle. For example, in 2009 Toyota implemented substantial changes in the brake system for our trucks.

The 2007 wiring diagram posted on ttora has been very useful to me, but even today it came up short while diagnosing an issue for a fellow member who also had a 2009.

I feel the same way. Toyota is arrogant in this regard. I'd pay $200 too for the damned thing too.

I don't. Acrobat is a significant attack vector for hackers given it's full of holes.

That is why it's important to always know what you are about to download and open. Scan beforehand if possible. It's called common sense. Remember the larger you are the more prone to attacks you are as well. The only thing Adobe has failed is not keep up on security fixes which they are now I'm sure.
