I have been searching for a week or so for a 3" lift. Currently I am running 285/75r16 Mickey Thompson MTZ on a 3" spacer lift.

The question I am looking to get answered is, with the spacer/ level lift vs. the toytec lift. I have noticed that with the toytec lift the truck has a slight rake in the front. I want my truck to continue to sit level after I purchase the 3" lift. How will I be able to keep the level look with the toytec lift?

The lift I would like to buy is:

3" lift kit with Bilstein 5100 Height Adj. Coilovers
Rear lift options: CS047R Daker complete leaf springs - $412.00
    Front diff drop kit
Rear shock options: 5160 Rear Reservoir shocks - $190.00

    The link to this lift.

Not with the dakar leaf pack. I've got the same lift on my truck and it is to high in the rear. Your best bet would be doing an aal or another leaf pack option.

Yeah? I was going with a new leaf pack because of the constant squeaky leaves. You think I should get a new oem pack and a aal?

Don't go with another new oem pack, those are $ from the dealer, just do a aal lift ya want it to sit level. I have the dakars and I personally like the rake for added hauling, blah blah.
A rear block( which I don't care for) would be another choice, my rig had a 1.25' rear block when I bought it, though it sat level, when I put two adults in the back seat it would sag and bottom out over bumps.

I say go full leaf packs, ya they might squeak, but hey it's a truck not a sports car. My two cents.
Good luck withe the purchase and do some research:)

    Thanks,

    Brett

Yea they will squeek no matter what..lol I really wanted my truck level but I knew going with the dakars would be better in the long run. But it all just depends what you like and what your really going to do in a truck

Ok. So Dakar is going to give the rake. And the aal will keep me level. Correct? I use my truck as a DD with a few weekends off road a year.

Op, if ya click on my sig pic it shows a bigger pic of my truck on 885x's billies front and rear and the dakars, 3 degree shims in the rear and a carrier bearing drop. The rear is higher hard to tell in the pic, but looks sweet the perfect rake. My opinion.
The truck is about an 1 and a 1/2 maybe 2 inches higher in the back. I could go measure rear center of hub to fender if ya want.
I was in the same boat as you when I bought my lift.

    Thanks,

    Brett

Dakars will give you more rake, an aal will also, but not nearly as much as the dakars. My buddy has an aal on his 08' and its almost as tall as my rears are but not.
Hope that helps? Ask around to TW members with aals and full leaf packs. Have them give you the rear center of hub ( rear axle ) to fender measurements. That's what I did and it was a great help.

    Thanks,

    Brett

If you do a full leaf pack on the rear, you may want to reconsider the 5160's I believe they're only good for up to 0-1" lift so you may prematurely wear them out.

X2! Agreed, I don't know about the 5160s but the replacement 5100s won't fit either. ( with dakars, some say they will but they will be too short)
Op I went with the B110 5100s there a little long you have to modify the bump stops so the suspension stops down travel before the shock is fully collapsed .(compressed)
All the suspension parts I bought from toytec.(except for the total chaos ucas)

    Thanks,

    Brett

Also, if you're on a budget try the Skyjacker 8000 Series. I run them on the back of mine with a 3" lift and a pair is only around $90. Here's where I ordered mine. Enter your vehicle details then click on choose options to select the shocks designed to work with a 3" lift. http://www.autoanything.com/suspensi...A2624A0A0.aspx

Not really working on a tight budget. I sold my boat for this lift. I have been doing some more research and some people are liking the OME 3" lift a little bit better it seems. 3" lift with the AAL.

    DAMN THE DECISIONS!!!

And with the 5160's. To be honest I like the look of the remote resivours and the only option to get them is the 5160's. And why would they offer the Dakar's with the 5160's if they don't fit well?

I think for the OME kit, you can choose to have a 1.5" AAL, at least I had the option to.

Here is a thread for my install; they let me hangout in the shop and snap some pics for this thread I did.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/293161-ome-kit-finally-installed.html

Might want to look into some UCAs also.

And I went with the 2" aal because of settling of the leaves.

Now does the sway bar relocate and diff drop help with the rake? I didn't think that that stuff affected the rake.
