I set mine on D. that's what they recommended for 2" to 3" lift. the Boss coils come set at 2.5". only wish I had bought a leaf pack like you did. will be buying some next spring just not sure which ones yet. dakars or boss

I will give ya an update on the dakars once their installed. Now what about the position of the top large nut on the uca. Do I get that at a mid point in the slot it sets in ?

not sure what you mean? maybe someone else could chime in if im wrong but I think the large nut just tightens on the ball joint there is a spacer, washer or what ever you call it below the nut that once you put it on the setting you want it doesn't move. you tighten that large nut down on it.

I'm talking about the slot in the upper control arm that the ball joint bolts onto and the possession at which you tighten it down2013-08-26123033_zpscca8de7b.jpg

Based upon post 327 I will just put it in the middle and eyeball it. Because it will be different on every truck until aligned correctly

funny you would post the link with that diagram. I opened the box mine came in that I put the stock uca in it and the install instructions with that same diagram on it. im sure I put mine in the middle like you mentioned until I had it aligned a few days later. did you buy new uca bolts?

I'd say so, otherwise they'd probably develop a squeak! Do you have any plans for preventing the prevalent squeak from the Dakars?

No I don't have have heard about it but never looked into solving it. Anythig I have read has stated that the solutions are temporary and over time it comes back

    listed the truck!
    only had a couple hangups.
one being a sway bar from mount nut rounding off. we had to cut the bolt off and drop a new nut into the frame due to it being boxed in.

also after installing the rear Dakars i then installed the boss year shocks that looked wayy too short. about 3-4inches short but i figured it was due to the darkar being at full droop and bing new
i called toytech later on after the install and they said it will be fine and the dakars will settle about an inch and that i will not need limit straps and the shocks will not be harmed due to full flex

other then that and having to cut the top buts for the rear shocks it all went smooth.

we used 3 manual floor jacks 4 jack stands hand tools and 1 electrical impact gun

the rear end is at full droop but supported by the floor jack. rear shock resting on lower mount tabs. upper shock mount is shown below. having the shock fully extended and not being long enough worried me . but toytec assured me the dakars will settle and the shocks will be fine

image.jpgThe dakars ride quality is great. I put my 14ft inclosed trailer with 2 dirt bikes in it on the hitch last week and the took the load great. They still have to settle and but I'm am already more then happy with their performance
