You should be okay but you arent going to get the right alignment you need without some new UCA's.

toytec Ultimate kit set @ 3 inches, Light Racing UCA's, HELO HE791 17X8 WHEELS, BFG 285-70-17's, secondary air filter removed, ARI drop in filter, Scan Gauge, Roll N Lock
It's more about alignment than tire clearance. I put new UCA's on as I wanted everything to be long term for me. if you have the $ install them with the kit and wait on the rims and tires.

3 in Ultimate ToyTec, set @ 2.5 in. AAL PINCH Weld Mod ( beat the pinch weld over inside the fender) Painted the pinch weld on bottom of cab Black Hi Lift Knock off
The 2nd gen trucks have more problems with UCAs and alignment than 1st gen. I put a Toytec Ultimate lift on at 3in. on a 04 taco and alignment came in. I am putting 285/75/16s on and expect (hope) they clear the UCA. Clearing the UCA is more backspace on the rim than lift.
